Mission Statement...
- Our mission is to help children put Christ
in every area of life as personal Lord and Savior. We want to help
children see God as their loving, heavenly Father who meets every personal
and social need.
Priorities...
- Children's
Church is the main attraction for 1st
through 6th grade children to get excited about Jesus and the Bible.
This kids' service of praise and dramatic presentations of God's Word through
skits, puppets, and games, acts as a joyful opportunity to enter into God's
glory. FITVC's children have fun in church and are not shy about
inviting their friends to experience Jesus as their Savior, too!
Wednesday nights offer a mid-week club environment that allows children to develop lasting relationships with others through crafts, games, music, and Bible lessons. Children in grades 1-6 learn Christian principles in a hands-on curriculum.
The quality of Children's Ministry at FITVC is determined by the extent to which children occupy a central place in our concern. In Matthew 18:1-14, Jesus made them a special focus of His teachings. "Whosoever shall receive one such little child in My name, receiveth me." (Matthew 18:5). He welcomed small children and brought everyone's attention to them by commending their worship. As we relate to our children, may we model the same kind of affection and regard that Jesus patterned. As our Children's Department grows, may we be sure to place the same priority on receiving our children as we would receive Jesus Himself.
