BAPTISM WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT...
Once
you are born again, (whether recently or long ago), the power for your
Christian life comes through being filled with the Holy Spirit (sometimes
referred to as the Holy Ghost). When Jesus was resurrected
and ascended back to the Father, He sent someone in His place who could live
on the inside of us. This person is the third person in the Trinity...
the Holy Spirit.
Salvation
is the work of the Holy Spirit, but to be filled with the Holy Spirit
is a totally different thing. Read Acts 19:1-6.
Sometimes
there are things we need to pray about that we aren't aware of yet. The
Holy Spirit, on the other hand, knows all things (past, present, and future). Therefore,
if we are filled with the Holy Spirit (with the evidence of speaking with
other tongues), we can pray those things through without our knowledge being
involved. 1 Corinthians 14:2 says, "For he that speaketh in
an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God, for no man understandeth
him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries."
Another
benefit of being filled with the Holy Spirit is that it edifies
our spirit. 1
Corinthians 14:4a, "He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth
himself."
Now that
you know some things about being filled with the Holy Spirit, here
is instruction on how to be filled with the Holy Spirit.

Dear Heavenly Father,
I ask that you fill me with the Holy Spirit, with the evidence of speaking in other tongues, as they did in the book of Acts.*
(Now, just begin to thank and praise God for filling you with the Holy Spirit. Speak those words or syllables that rise up in you. They don't make sense to your mind, but they're not supposed to. It's the language of the Spirit, the language of God.)
You are now a Spirit-filled believer. I encourage you to use your new prayer language daily. It will change your life and you'll never be the same again. *Acts 2:4, "And they were filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance."
